Cosmetic Surgery: Making a Comeback

CBS News released an article today letting the world know that Cosmetic Surgery is back on the rise.

For a short period of time, this industry was in the shadows, due to the economic downfall. Contrary to this, now that the economy is showing a turn for the better, so are breast augmentations, facelifts, and tummy tucks!

Investing time and money on cosmetic surgery comes with so many advantages. Both women and men are treating themselves to procedures that are going to boost their self-confidence and self-esteem for the rest of their lives. Job opportunities arise, a new love may arise, cure from a past illness, but most importantly you feel like you can conquer the world.

.......Yes, all of these feelings and experiences are a result of altering your image.

If you are a fan of Rachel Ray, then you probably tuned in to her recent interview with a cosmetic surgeon. They discussed important plastic surgery topics that can be of great use to you. These are the basic:

“5 Do's and Don'ts of Plastic Surgery”.
  1. Belly Fat: A belly that sticks out is different from one with loose skin. This is also known as visceral fat, the fat that lives inside the body among the intestines and other organs; and no physician can liposuction this fat. Only when the fat is above the muscle can it be removed with liposuction, tummy tuck, or a combination of both.
  2. Injections: Frightening stories of people having silicone injections in hotel rooms have been in the news lately and its a good idea to understand what these are. Patients are getting injections of silicone which are often not medical grade, but rather the same kind used in industrial applications.
Last month Breast Beauty brought you the story of the Bronx women doing these exact illegal procedures out of her home!
  3. Facelifts: Patients are always in search of a procedure that will give them facelift results without the pain and downtime of surgery. However, it is important to remember that these results are often temporary. In saying this, there are other alternatives. A mini facelift, will require anesthesia and 1 to 2 weeks of recovery time.
  4. Fat Transfer: A good option for patients whose faces are beginning to lose volume and sag is a fat transfer. Fat is removed from one part of the body and transferred to the face. The procedure takes about an hour and leaves no visible scars and can last from 5 to 10 years.
  5. Cellulite: Unfortunately there is not a cure for cellulite, but it can be reduced temporarily. The Cellupluse device is one new option for patients. It is not yet FDA approved for cellulite treatment, but results can last up to 3 months or more.
If you have any questions about these procedures please do not hesitate to call us at Breast Beauty. We are hear to give you all of the confidence and information you need to make the proper decision.

  1. My belly fat was always been my problem since I can remember. My low esteem was low because of this. My option now is to visit my sister Plastic surgeon Los Angeles. She said LA was a great place to visit when it comes to surgery. Can't wait to be on that place and experience my very first surgery.
