When choosing the breast implant that is right for you, body type is of paramount importance. There are two different types of breast implants to choose from, SILICONE OR SALINE. These differences in implants, may be beneficial or harmful to your body. Here's a better understanding of each type.
SALINE IMPLANTS:
Saline breast implants are filled with a saline fluid, at the time of surgery. Another type is an adjustable volume implant, which is filled interpretively and has the potential for further postoperative adjustment. They are harder, and have more of an unnatural feeling. The incision is typically small, and they are less expensive. This type of implant is available for women over the age of 18.
SILICONE IMPLANTS:Silicone breast implants are pre-filled with a silicone gel. They vary in shell surface, shape, profile, volume, and thickness. Most silicone gel-filled implants are not adjustable. The silicone gel allows for the implant to have a more natural feeling. Most women say they feel like natural breast tissue. This type of implant is available to women over 22.
